1.1.Goals and objectives of mastering the discipline of practice
The purpose of mastering the academic discipline "General and Bioorganic Chemistry" is to master knowledge about the basic physical and chemical processes occurring in the human body at the cellular and molecular levels, as well as when the living organism is exposed to the environment.
At the same time, the objectives of the discipline are
- formation of students ' ideas about physical and chemical aspects as the most important biochemical processes and various types of homeostasis in the body: theoretical foundations of bioenergetics, factors affecting the shift in the balance of biochemical processes;
- students ' study of the properties of organic and inorganic substances; properties of solutions, various types of chemical reaction equilibria and vital processes; mechanisms of action of the body's buffer systems, their interrelation and role in maintaining acid-base homeostasis; features of acid-base properties of amino acids and proteins;
- students ' study of the laws of physical and chemical processes in living systems from the point of view of their competition resulting from the combination of equilibria of different types; the role of biogenic elements and their compounds in living systems; the physical and chemical bases of surface phenomena and factors affecting free surface energy; features of adsorption at various phase separation boundaries; features of the formation of physical chemistry of dispersed systems and biopolymer solutions; increasing motivation, stimulating interest in studying chemistry. Knowledge of the chemical bases of the therapeutic effect of inorganic medicinal substances and the chemical bases of the toxic effect of inorganic compounds lays the foundation for the formation of professional competencies.
- formation of practical skills in setting up and performing experimental work;
- familiarizing students with occupational health and safety measures in the chemical laboratory, monitoring compliance with and ensuring environmental safety when working with reagents;
- formation of students ' skills in studying scientific chemical literature.

Prerequisites: Mathematics, Physics, biology with elements of ecology
 Post-requirements: All subjects учебного of the curriculum.

Studying the discipline of chemistry provides
Fulfillment of a number of targeted problematic tasks, because of which students should have the following knowledge and skills.

The student must know:

Thermodynamic and kinetic laws that determine the course of chemical and biochemical processes
Physical and chemical aspects of the most important biochemical processes and various homeostasis in the body, theoretical foundations of bioenergetics, factors affecting the shift in equilibrium in
Biochemical processes Property of water and aqueous solutions of strong and weak electrolytes;
Classification of solutions, ways of expressing solutions;
The main types of balances and life processes:
Proteolytic, heterogeneous ligand exchange, redox
Low molecular weight bioorganic substances, their properties High molecular weight bioorganic substances, their properties.
The student must be able to:
Solve typical practical problems
Carry out the simplest chemical experiment and its analysis, Prepare solutions with a given concentration with preliminary calculations
Prepare an appropriate protocol for the experiment. Know the methods of titration used in medical and chemical research
The student must have the skills:
1 Independent work with educational, scientific and reference
Books, search and orientation in the bibliography
2 Safe work in the chemical laboratory and handling
- Chemical utensils - alcohol lamps - electric heaters - strong poisonous, easily volatile compounds
